Online portal support, not a printable USCIS form preparation path
G-639 / USCIS FOIA records request help
USCIS now directs FOIA/Privacy Act records requests through the USCIS FIRST online portal. Immigration Oasis helps you organize what to request, prepare a records-request worksheet, and understand the online submission steps. We do not promise or deliver a completed printable G-639 PDF for filing.
1. Tell us what records you need
Organize the request
We help identify whose records are requested, whether you are requesting your own records or someone else’s, and what USCIS records may be useful, such as an A-file, prior application, notice, receipt, or decision history.
2. Prepare a worksheet
Information checklist
We organize names, A-number or receipt numbers if available, date-of-birth details, contact information, proof-of-identity needs, third-party authorization issues, and the exact records you want to ask USCIS to search for.
3. Submit through USCIS
Online portal guidance
You review, sign in to the USCIS online FOIA portal when ready, and submit the request yourself. Immigration Oasis does not automatically file or submit the request to USCIS for you.
Important G-639 correction
G-639 should be treated as USCIS FIRST online FOIA/Privacy Act portal support, not a normal print-and-file form materials. Any alternate submission method should be confirmed directly with USCIS and may be limited to special circumstances.
Human Review Specialist review may be used when the request involves another person’s records, unclear identity proof, urgent deadlines, court/removal issues, or sensitive records.
What you receive
A plain-language records-request worksheet, missing-information checklist, and USCIS online submission guide. This is support for the online FOIA process, not a completed printable G-639 PDF and not a completed government filing submitted by us.
What we do not do
No automatic USCIS filing. No government account access. No outcome promise. No legal strategy advice. Attorney or high-risk review may be needed for court, removal, deadline, or third-party authority issues.
Basic pricing treatment
G-639 records-request support may fit the $49 records-request support level when facts are simple. Team check or attorney/high-risk review may be needed if the request is sensitive or connected to a legal deadline.
Trust notes: Immigration Oasis is not USCIS, not the government, and not a law firm. USCIS forms and USCIS online accounts are free. Government filing fees are separate. Government filing fees, if any, are separate. You review and decide whether and when to submit.
